Family Concert
You can enjoy "Classic for kids" concerts with your baby even he/she is the age of 0. "Randoseru series" are designed for elementary school students (Randoseru is a Japanese school bag). Excellent orchestra performances and programs developed according to ages foster the curiosity of children and their family and take them to new worlds.
Ishikawa Junior Orchestra
Ishikawa Junior Orchestra is an orchestra consisting of students from the 4th grade of elementary school to the 3rd grade of high school. Members have year-long lessons at Ishikawa Ongakudo as the main venue and their activities culminate at the concert held in March. Mr. Orie Suzuki, OEK Conductor, leads the orchestra, and OEK musicians and local musicians contribute as instructors regularly.
OEK Angel Chorus
OEK Angel Chorus is a children choir consisting of students from the 2nd grade of elementary school to the 3rd grade of high school. They have a lesson once a week at Ishikawa Ongakudo. It performs in wide fields such as the concerts with OEK and opera performances, others are mini concerts held at Ishikawa Ongakudo and other local venues, and volunteer concerts.
Hokkoku Happy! Concert
Since 2008 "Hokkoku Happy! Concert" in cooperation with the Hokkoku Bank, Ltd. visits kindergartens and nursery schools in Toyama, Ishikawa and Fukui prefectures. It aims to share the value and enjoyment of music with children. String quartets by OEK musicians and singers create familiar programs with their communicative talks.
